Raindown
If we’d hired a brass band in time, you’d be hearing a full-on
trumpet fanfare clip blasting out of your computer as you read this…It’s
time to unleash the sublime sound of Raindown on
the world!
We’ve been raving on about Raindown – aka
Tim Ritchie (21) and Frank Robinson (23) – for some time now. Having
signed to the all-new Xt3 label, the boys were understandably eager to
get cracking: “It was great to finally hit the recording studio
after all the months of practice,” says Tim. “We’re
both knuckling down, hoping for the best and just going out there to
enjoy it really.” If they’re enjoying it, we bet you will.

Raindown produced their debut EP - a five-track release brimming with
fresh acoustics, powerful harmonies and all-round musical excellence
in early 2005. The Debut EP, intentionally raw and simple and fully mixed
and mastered in the studio in 3 days, shows real talent that belies their
years. Since then they have
appeared on CNN, they dedicated their single “Crucifying You” to
the late pope, John Paul II and they have also produced an electrifying 5 minute
video, which was aired extensively across Italy in the Summer of 2005. Last
August the boys played at various venues in Cologne, during World Youth Day 2005.
At the end of 2005 they released their second EP – The Tottenham Bootleg.
